In the spirit of the first WOW Conference held in 2020, this virtual gathering offers a venue for the communication of ideas, intellectual exchange, and networking for trainees. We encourage students and postdoctoral fellows from all over the world to present their in-progress or completed work on the mental lexicon and word and language processing & representation in different contexts — from the lab to the real world — and in diverse populations across the life span. We invite presenters and attendees to engage in conversations with their colleagues on both academic research and non-academic topics.
This conference will take place online November 26-27, 2021.
The Conference will include both brief (10-minute) talks via Zoom as well as posters that will take place in gather.town. The conference will strive to create presentation opportunities for trainees (for example, undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, recent graduates, and others). Papers presented can, of course, include a mix of trainees and faculty members as authors. Non-trainee first-authored papers will be considered for poster presentation only.
Abstract submission deadline: September 10, 2021
