On May 9, 2018, a workshop on How to gain insight into reading processes – recreating (or improving) eye-tracking studies from the Turku eye-movement lab was offered by Dr. Raymond Bertram (University of Turku) at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON, and was hosted by The Centre for Advanced Research in Experimental and Applied Linguistics. The workshop included lecture components, experimental design breakout groups, and time for discussion. Spring Training in Experimental Psycholinguistics at the Centre for Comparative Psycholinguistics 2018 (STEP@CCP 2018) was held at the University of Alberta from May 14-19, 2018. The annual Spring School is directed at graduate and advanced undergraduate students and anyone else interested in learning how to make their research ideas into concrete steps towards experimental designs, data collection and analysis using advanced experimental and statistical methods.
The 2018 Annual EEG/ERP Workshop on Advanced Methods, organized by Dr. Sid Segalowitz, was held at Brock University from April 23-27, 2018. This annual workshop is designed to give researchers who are familiar with ERP projects an opportunity to get hands on experience exploring advanced EEG analysis methods in a collaborative setting.
