Papers presented at Words in the World International Conference 2020 will be presented as oral presentations. Slides will be presented via online screen sharing.
Each paper will be given 15 minutes in total (ten minutes for oral presentation and five minutes for questions).
Because there will be three parallel sessions during the conference, timing will need to be strict so that attendees can switch between sessions. Presenters are asked to make every effort to ensure that their oral presentation does not exceed 10 minutes.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have any concerns at all about your internet connection, bandwidth, etc., we encourage you to pre-record your oral presentation and submit it to us before the conference. There are many ways to record your presentation (e.g., with PowerPoint: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/record-a-slide-show-with-narration-and-slide-timings-0b9502c6-5f6c-40ae-b1e7-e47d8741161c). If you do this and send it to us in advance, the Moderator will be able to play your oral presentation, should there be any technical difficulties. In this case, you would still be able to respond to questions in the live online exchange.
